Land for Sale in Halol, Gujarat

Geography & terroir

Halol is a taluka in Panchmahal district, in central-east Gujarat, at the foothills of the Pavagadh hill and on the edge of the Aravalli range. The terrain is undulating — flatter agricultural valley pockets between low hills. Soils are a mix of medium-black and sandy-loam, with some red and gravelly soil near the hills. Rainfall is reasonable; surface water from the Goma and Vishwamitri tributaries supplements groundwater. The Pavagadh hill is a UNESCO World Heritage site (Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park).

Typical land uses

Halol's identity is industrial. The GIDC Halol estate hosts the MG Motor (formerly General Motors) plant, plus chemical and auto-ancillary units. Industrial plot demand within and around the GIDC is consistent. Outside the industrial belt, agricultural land in surrounding villages is used for maize, cotton, tur, and vegetables on typical 1–8 acre holdings. NA residential demand has grown along the Vadodara–Halol road as commuters from Vadodara look for second homes. There is a small but persistent tourism-related economy around Champaner-Pavagadh.

Infrastructure & access

NH-47 (Halol–Godhra) and the Vadodara–Halol state highway connect Halol to Vadodara (~40 km) and Godhra. Rail access is via Vadodara junction. The proximity to Vadodara — and through it to the Mumbai–Delhi expressway and the Bullet Train corridor — gives Halol strong logistics. Approach roads to villages around the GIDC are generally pucca.

Buyer notes

Plots within the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park buffer zone carry construction and use restrictions under heritage protection — verify with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for any plot near Pavagadh. Industrial-adjacent plots may have specific land-use constraints from GIDC or the State Pollution Control Board. Standard Gujarat agricultural-land rules apply. Verify 7/12, GIDC NOC if applicable, and any heritage zone notification.
